Solar panel maintenance
Regular check-ups so your system produces what it should, even if we didn't install it. A solar system works quietly and problems go unnoticed: a check-up helps catch them in time.

What a check-up covers
- Inverter logs and alerts.
- The state of connections and cables.
- How the panels perform, looking for drops in production.
- Dirt and shade that reduce production.
- Access to the monitoring app or portal.
The scope and frequency depend on the type of system and the equipment; we propose them once we know it.
Signs your system needs a check-up
- Production has dropped compared with the same month in earlier years.
- The app shows alerts that keep coming back, or has stopped showing data.
- The inverter switches off at certain times of day.
- There are damaged cables in view, loose connectors or signs of damp.
If you notice any of these, a check-up helps find the cause before it turns into a fault.
Maintenance isn't only for when it breaks
A system can keep running and produce less than it should. A check-up helps spot drops in production and small faults before they stop the system, and to see whether it's worth following production more closely.
We reply to the request within 48 h, assess the system and send a written quote, with the price stated before you go ahead. The decision is yours.
What helps us to know
The brand and model of the inverter, how long ago the system was installed and whether you still have access to the monitoring app or portal. If the installer left documentation, keep it; if not, that's fine: we start from what exists and tell you what is missing.
Has your installer disappeared?
You can ask us for a quote even if the system was installed by someone else. We explain how to start on the help when your installer has gone page; if something has failed, see inverter repair.
Frequently asked questions
How often should the system be checked?
It depends on the equipment, its age and the location. In the assessment we tell you what we recommend for yours; there's no one calendar for everybody.
Do I need maintenance if the system works fine?
It's optional and the decision is yours. Working isn't the same as producing what it should: the check-up is there to verify that.
My installer disappeared. Who can help?
Ask us for a quote. We assess the system even if we didn't build it and tell you what we can do.
