Hybrid inverter, battery and backup
In a hybrid, the inverter manages the panels, the battery and the grid connection. Backup, the output that keeps part of the home powered in a cut, only works if it was wired and set up for it. Some owners only find out in the first cut that this output was never connected.

Signs the battery and inverter aren't getting along
- The battery doesn't charge, even in sunshine.
- The battery shows as disconnected or in error in the app.
- The inverter switches between modes for no clear reason.
- Backup failed in a cut although the battery was charged.
Access to the iSolarCloud app
Sungrow monitoring runs through the iSolarCloud app. If the account was left in the installer's name or you lost the password, tell us: we look with you at what can be recovered. Without the app, the inverter display or lights and the label already give a good first idea.

Frequently asked questions
The backup didn't work in the blackout. Why?
The most common causes are a backup output that was never connected, wrong settings, or a battery that was flat or in error. Only the assessment tells which applies to you.
Can I add a battery to my Sungrow inverter?
It depends on the inverter model. Give it in your request and we tell you which options are compatible.
