Fronius inverters: full service

Fronius inverters show numbered status messages on the display and in the Solar.web portal. Not all of them are faults. We help you understand what the message means in your case and what to do next.

What we do on Fronius inverters

What's included

  • A look at your case

Remotely, plus a site visit if it's needed.

  • A written quote

With the price, before any work starts.

  • Only with your go-ahead

It's your call: we only go ahead when you say yes.

Status messages by type

Rather than memorising codes, it helps to group messages by what they usually point to:

  • Grid: voltage or frequency outside the limits. The inverter stops to protect itself and reconnects when the grid settles. If it happens often, the grid and the settings are worth a look.
  • Temperature: the unit gets too hot and reduces power. It may be the mounting spot, poor ventilation or a fan with problems.
  • Panels and insulation: warnings about the panel connection. Don't touch anything here without an assessment first, as there is high direct-current voltage.
  • Equipment: internal inverter faults that keep coming back. These are the ones that most often call for repair or replacement.

Primo, Symo and GEN24

Fronius Primo units are single-phase, Symo three-phase, and the GEN24 versions are hybrid, with a battery connection. On a hybrid model a message may come from the battery rather than the inverter; if the problem is the backup in a cut, see backup that failed in a cut.

What to send us

The number and text of the message, a photo of the inverter label and, if you have Solar.web access, the date the message started. If you have no portal access, that's fine: we start from what the display shows.

Fronius, Primo, Symo, GEN24 and Solar.web are trademarks of their respective owners. Sol de Volta is a company independent of the manufacturer and doesn't speak for the brand.

Frequently asked questions

The message shows in the morning and then goes away. Is it a fault?

Not always. Some messages appear when light is weak or the grid fluctuates and clear by themselves. If they repeat every day or production drops, ask for an assessment.

Can I restart the inverter?

You can follow the shutdown and restart procedure in the manufacturer manual. Don't open the unit or touch the panel cables.

Do you handle my hybrid Fronius with a battery?

Give the inverter and battery models in your request. We look at your case and tell you what can be done.
